Our C85 T5 tracked dumper and 1.7-tonne compact excavator are purpose-built for the sites that standard excavators drive past. If your job is behind a house, up a narrow side path or through a single-brick gate, this is what we do.
The C85 T5 fits through a standard single side gate, and the 1.7-tonne excavator can be walked into almost any residential backyard in Sydney.
That combination means we can excavate footings, run services and remove spoil from sites that would otherwise require hand-digging or a crane.
820mm is the number that decides the job.
A standard residential side gate sits around 900mm. Conventional excavation gear doesn't fit through it, which is why quotes for rear-yard work so often come back with hand-digging in them, or a crane lifting a machine over the house.
On a rear-yard job the digging is rarely the hard part — getting the spoil off the block is. The tracked dumper cycles it out in loads through the same gate the excavator walked in through, which is what makes the job possible without a crane over the roof or a chain of wheelbarrows.
The route in gets planned before anything drives over it: track mats where the surface has to survive, staging so the machine isn't crossing the same ground twice, and a light excavator on soft going.
