Excavation& Plumbing
Tight-access excavation, civil works and licensed plumbing across Sydney. Two trades, one crew, and a written scope before anything is dug.

Twenty-five years in the trade, on both sides of the job.
Classic Plumbing & Excavations works across both sides of the one job: excavation and civil works, and the licensed plumbing that goes with them. Because the pipework and the digging sit with the same crew, the drainage gets planned before the ground is opened rather than worked out afterwards.
What we've built the business around is the difficult end of it — tight sites, awkward access, and the jobs where the drainage detail decides whether the work lasts. Stormwater, retaining walls, sewer repairs and footings on blocks where getting a machine in is half the problem.
Plumbing & Excavation
25 years in the trade
Every job, built to last.
Plumbing is our trade and the machines are ours, so on all five of these jobs the pipework and the excavation are the same crew. The difficult sites are the ones we're set up for.

Not sure which one you need?
Send us the site details and we'll tell you what the job actually calls for — including when it's less work than you expected.
Our working process.
One crew from the first site visit through approvals, the works and handover. The plumbing and the excavation are both ours, so nothing gets handed between contractors on the way.

Quality over quantity, every time.
Six reasons the difficult jobs keep coming back to us.
25+ years combined experience
Twenty-five years of licensed trade work behind every dig. We know what's likely to be under a Sydney block before the bucket goes in, and we plan the job around it rather than discovering it halfway through.
Tight-access specialist fleet
An 820mm tracked dumper and a 1.7-tonne excavator, bought specifically for the blocks other crews drive past. Narrow side gates, rear yards and shared easements are normal work for us, not an exception.
Licensed plumber-led
The person running the excavator is a licensed plumber. We locate, dig and repair on the one visit instead of coordinating three trades and hoping their diaries line up.
Fixed-price, transparent quotes
One scope, one price, agreed in writing before we start. Variations only when the site genuinely changes — and we quote those up front, not on the final invoice.
Quality over quantity
We'd rather run fewer sites properly than chase volume. Correct falls, proper compaction, agi drainage on every wall — none of it shows on handover day, all of it shows in ten years.
Eastern Suburbs, North Shore & Hills
We work Sydney-wide but know these three areas best — the blocks, the councils and the particular access headaches that come with each of them.

Have a difficult site? Let's talk before you dig.

Tight access specialists
Machinery built for the sites other excavators turn down.
The 1.7-tonne and 5.5-tonne excavators, both jackhammer-equipped, plus the 820mm-wide C85 T5 tracked dumper, let us work through side gates, up easements and inside courtyards a standard fleet can't reach.
Before we price a job we walk the route the machine will actually take — the gate width, the step down off the driveway, the turn at the side of the house. That's the difference between a quote that holds and a variation halfway through the week.
We plan how the spoil gets out, too. On a tight block that's often the hardest part of the whole exercise, and it's the thing most easily missed when the machine gets picked before the gap gets measured.
Why we're different
Built for the next 25 years, not the next invoice.
A licensed plumber's eye applied to civil works. We size the job to last — correct falls, proper drainage, footings built to the engineer's detail — because the cost difference is small and the failure cost is enormous.
Most of what goes wrong underground doesn't show up for years. A stormwater line laid at the wrong fall, backfill that was never properly compacted, a retaining wall drained the wrong way — none of it looks like a problem on handover day. It looks like a problem the first time Sydney cops a week of solid rain.
So we build to the standard we'd want under our own place, we tell you straight when the cheaper option is genuinely the right call, and we put the scope in writing before anyone turns up with a machine.

Questions clients often ask us.
Straight answers on scope, access, approvals and how we work a tight site.

Sydney-wide, with a focus on the areas we know best.
Classic Plumbing & Excavations takes on excavation, civil and plumbing work across greater Sydney, with a dedicated focus on the Eastern Suburbs, North Shore and The Hills District — the areas where we know the blocks, the councils and the access constraints best.
