Stormwater done properly the first time.
We build complete stormwater systems for Sydney residential and commercial sites — including on-site detention (OSD) tanks, pits, headwalls and pipe runs — to council standard and built to survive the next twenty-five years, not the next storm.
Stormwater is one of the easiest jobs to do badly. Undersized pipes, sloppy falls or the wrong pit spec and a compliance inspection becomes a re-dig at your expense.
We work from the engineer's plans, verify falls with a laser level, and hand back a system that passes inspection first time — with the documentation to prove it.

What a stormwater job actually involves.
Most stormwater work starts one of two ways: a condition attached to a DA, or something you can see after heavy rain — water pooling against the house, a pit that backs up, a downpipe running to nowhere. The fix is rarely just the part you can see.
A complete system is the pits, the pipe runs at the correct grade, and — on blocks that can't discharge to the street — an absorption trench sized to how fast that soil actually takes water. On-site detention adds a tank that holds the peak of a storm and releases it slowly, so the street system isn't hit with everything at once.
Drainage is plumbing work and the digging is ours as well, so the pipework and the excavation are the same crew on this job. It also means the sequence gets respected: grades checked and the system inspected before it disappears under backfill. Burying it early is how a stormwater job ends up being dug twice.
When you'd call us
- New hard surface — a roof, driveway or extension — that council wants water managed for
- Water pooling, or running toward the building, after rain
- No fall to the street, so discharge has to be handled on the block
What the scope typically covers.
OSD tanks
On-site detention tanks sized to the hydraulic report.
Stormwater pits
Junction, silt and grated pits installed to spec.
Pipe runs
PVC and RCP runs at correct grade, bedded and backfilled properly.
Absorption trenches
For sites without street connection — sized to soil percolation.
What this looks like on the ground.
The same four stages, whatever the site.
- 01
Site Assessment
On-site consultation: access constraints, ground conditions, services location, feasibility and machinery selection.
- 02
Planning & Approvals
Scope confirmation, council/stormwater approvals where required, fixed-price proposal and program.
- 03
Excavation & Civil Works
Staged excavation, retaining, stormwater or sewer works using the right-sized machine for the access available.
- 04
Completion & Handover
Compliance checks, site clean-up, handover documentation and ongoing support.
Why clients bring this work to us.
Council-compliant
Built to the engineer's drawings and stamped for handover.
Correct falls
Laser-verified grades on every run — no pooling, no backflow.
Fixed price
One clear scope and price before any excavation begins.
About stormwater, specifically.

Everything else we do.
One crew across all five, so the pipework and the excavation never get handed between contractors.
